On August 6, 2022 at approximately 6:09 p.m., officers from the 12th Street Division responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle collision at the intersection of Cantrell Road and North Palm Street. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Wallis Allen, the driver of a GMC Yukon. Officers also made contact with witnesses. The driver of the motorcycle, Dallas Ward, was unresponsive and transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Accident Reconstruction Officers were requested to process the scene, talk to witnesses, and collect measurements for their investigation. Preliminary information indicates the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The investigation is ongoing.

The next of kin has been notified.
