Southwest Division Patrol Officers responded to 4704 Fairlee Drive for a “shooting” call for service at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, March 27, 2023. When officers arrived, they discovered Ms. Edwina Brown inside the residence suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was transported to a local hospital where she died a short time later. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the body of Ms. Brown to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy. 

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. The next of kin was notified. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.
