Little Rock City Hall remains closed to the public due to the ongoing public health crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, if an individual wants to pick up a packet in person, they must contact the Little Rock City Clerk’s Office at 501-371-6803, or via e-mail at cityclerksoffice@littlerock.gov, to arrange a time for pick up.
The filing period to return the completed candidate documents will be from July 24, 2020, until August 14, 2020, at noon. Documents must be filed in person at Little Rock City Hall, 500 West Markham Street. However, this requirement may change if City Hall remains closed to the public due to the pandemic. Those who have downloaded or picked up packets in person will be notified if so.
The next election date for the City Board of Directors will be November 3, 2020. Officials elected will take office January 1, 2021. The following positions on the ballot:
- Ward 4 Representative
- Position 8, At-Large Representative
- Position 9, At-Large Representative
- Position 10, At-Large Representative
No filing fee is required. To qualify to run for office, the potential candidate must:
- Be a voter registered in Pulaski County
- Be a resident of the City of Little Rock for at least 30 days
- Be over the age of 21
- Not designate a party affiliation
- Have a petition signed by at least 50 qualified electors of the City. (Potential candidates are encouraged to obtain 75-100 signatures to ensure that they have the required amount in case some are disqualified.)

Residents may visit LittleRock.gov/covid19 for all information about the City’s efforts related to COVID-19, including the newly created Small Business Emergency Assistance Program. Volunteers are needed to assist with the grab-and-go feeding efforts for vulnerable populations, including students and seniors. Sign up at LittleRock.gov/volunteer. The Little Rock Cares Emergency Relief Fund benefits the grab-and-go feeding effort and the purchase of personal protective equipment (PPE). Donations of PPE are also accepted.
