A Little Rock teen who’s participating in the Summer Youth Job Program is a winner in the first raffle for the DollarWise Summer Youth Contest. Mayor Mark Stodola will present Adrian Harris with her prize in his office on Monday at 10:30 a.m.

The 2012 Summer Youth Contest is a part of the DollarWise Financial Literacy program, which was created by the U.S. Conference of Mayors.  Since its inception in 2004, mayors and cities across America have made a commitment to increasing their residents’ financial literacy by participating in all that DollarWise has to offer.

Youth who are registered in a summer youth job program and complete each financial education component have the chance to win 1 of 3 prizes each week! Prizes include an iPad 3, a Kindle Touch, and an iPod Shuffle. Youth can also send in a video explaining what they did with the money they earned from their summer job, and how participating in the Summer Youth Contest helped them save for their future.
