On September 4^th, 2022, just after midnight, officers responded to a disturbance with a weapon call at 612 E. Roosevelt Road. Candice Godbold, 37 years old of Conway, AR, was located by officers unresponsive and later transported to a local hospital for medical care. While an arrest was made for possession of a firearm by certain persons of Kenan Smith, this investigation has been ongoing.  Homicide Detectives were recently notified the death of Candice Godbold has been classified as a homicide. Homicide Detectives are reviewing all elements of this case. Upon the completion of the investigation, the investigative file will be submitted to the Pulaski County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for a file decision.
