Little Rock, Ark. (April 6, 2008) – Cruisin’ in the Rock, Little Rock’s monthly show of classic cars, street rods, trucks and motorcycles will cruise into downtown Little Rock’s River Market District on Friday, April 10, 2009. In celebration of Easter Weekend, this month’s cruise will include Derrick Rose “The Magic Man,” and staff from the Little Rock Zoo.

“Little Rock Zoo members will select and present the awards for their favorite Cruiser, Truck and Motorcycle, as well as showcase their wonderful venue,” says Carol Dolan, event chair for Cruisin’ in the Rock. “We are so excited to include additional entertainment and activities during this month’s event. Besides enjoying the beautiful cruisers, listening to great music, dining in one of the District’s wonderful restaurants, the entire family will enjoy Derrick Rose’s magic and unique balloon creations, and the little ones will receive an Easter Bag full of toys and candies.”

Cruisin’ in the Rock are monthly cruises from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the River Market District and are sponsored by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Arkansas Pontiac Association and Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department.

In addition to awards for “Best Cruiser”, “Best Truck”, “Best Motorcycle the Arkansas Pontiac Association will present their monthly “Host Club Choice” award. And, of course, all participants are eligible for door prizes.

“Cruisin’ in the Rock is open to the public and admission is free. The remaining dates for the 2009 “Cruisin’ in the Rock” season are May 29, June 12, July 10, August 14, September 11, and November 13.
