Little Rock’s monthly car show celebrates its 9th season beginning March 6, 2009.

Little Rock, Ark. (March 2, 2009) – The ninth season of “Cruisin’ in the Rock,” Little Rock’s monthly car show in the River Market District, will begin this Friday, March 6, 2009. These cruises featuring classic cars, street rods, trucks and motorcycles will be on display from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The monthly cruises are sponsored by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Arkansas Pontiac Association and Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department.

Boy Scout Troop #105 will be the special guests for the evening enjoying the cars and raising money for their troops by selling food at the show. The Scout Leaders and Scouts will also select and present the “Best Cruiser” and “Best Truck” awards. The Arkansas Pontiac Association will present their monthly “Host Club Choice” award. And, of course, all participants are eligible for door prizes.

“The popular monthly cruises are only a part of the excitement for the season this year,” says Carol Dolan, event chair. “This year we are excited to welcome the Central Arkansas Corvette Club Weekend on May 7 - 9, the O’Reilly Auto Parts’ Street Machine Nationals on September 11 – 13, and Big Cruisefest on October 23 – 24.”
