Contest to Bring Art to West Central Community Center Students in Little Rock Encouraged to Submit Works

Elementary, middle and high school students in Little Rock could get the chance to see their artwork adorn the halls of West Central Community Center. 

Any student at a public or private school in Little Rock currently enrolled in grades 6 – 12 is encouraged to create a masterpiece, whatever the medium – pencil and paper, photography, or digital design – to submit by April 26.

The finished artworks should be no smaller than 8.5” x 11” and no larger than 20” x 24”.

The top three winning artists will each receive a cash prize, a trophy and a certificate. City Director awards will also be given to honorable mentions.

Participants may pick up and return submission forms at West Central Community Center, 4521 John Barrow Road. Forms are due by April 19. Judging takes place from May 1-3 with an awards ceremony on May 4, at 10 a.m. at the community center. Winners must be present to receive the prize.
