WHAT:      The Arkansas River Trail between Arch Street and LaHarpe Boulevard/Highway 10 through Riverfront Park will be closed to pedestrian and bicycle traffic beginning at 6 a.m. on Monday, March 23.

The purpose of the closure is to allow for construction related to the replacement of the Broadway Bridge by the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department. Users of the trail will be directed to use alternate routes through downtown to return to the trail in the eastern section of Riverfront Park.

Barricades, warning signs and alternate route signage will be installed on streets downtown to inform users of the closure and the detour routes. 

WHO:         Pedestrians and Bicyclists traveling in the area of the Arkansas River Trail in Riverfront Park between Arch Street and LaHarpe Boulevard/Highway 10.

WHEN:       Beginning at 6 a.m., Monday, March 23 and continuing through the completion of the Broadway Bridge replacement.
