LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Feb. 1, 2015) – The City of Little Rock and coalition partners will join forces Monday, Feb. 1, at the City Hall Rotunda to share details of the 2016 Super Saturday event planned for Feb. 6 at the Arkansas State Fairgrounds.

Thousands of Little Rock residents could qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which is designed to help low- to moderate-income families. In 2015, EITC provided more than $66 billion dollars to almost 28 million households in the country. The average EITC amount was $2,400.

The theme for participants this year is “Prepare Your Future,” which will emphasize the tools and resources that can help people invest in their retirement, buy a home, make improvements to their home, start their own business, and protect themselves from scams.

A testimonial will come from Leah Sturm, an EITC beneficiary.
