City opens cooling centers for those affected by storm

The City of Little Rock announced Friday that community centers are open for those residents in need of cool shelter after a Wednesday storm knocked out power in some neighborhoods leaving many without air conditioning.

Those community centers and their hours are:

Friday Only

Dunbar Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
1001 W. 16th – 501-376-1084

East Little Rock Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Stephens Community Center – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Friday and Saturday

Centre at University Park – 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Friday & Saturday)
