Youngsters take their championship to the big field

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.—Little Rock Parks and Recreation’s youth football season comes to a close with three championship games to be played at the largest football stadium in the city. War Memorial Stadium will be the location for the program’s “Super Bowl” for the second year in a row.
The games begin at 9:30 a.m. with the 8 and under age division championship game, followed by the 9- to 10-year-olds playing at 10:45 a.m. The final game of the day is scheduled for 12 p.m. as the 11- and 12-year-olds take the field. Each game will be followed by a trophy presentation.
The teams are from the Little Rock Parks & Recreation Community Centers. They are Stephens Titans, Southwest Bucs and the Dunbar Raiders. Cheerleaders from each center will cheer during the games and perform during the half times. Concessions will be available at the stadium and there is no cost of admission.
