Full- and Part-time Job Opportunities Available
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (March 22, 2016) – The City of Little Rock hopes to grow its employee family with a career fair April 2 at the Statehouse Convention Center.The event, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Caraway Room, will include representatives from all 14 City departments. The Police and Fire Departments will be available to answer any questions about the Recruit Academies scheduled for this year and provide information about the career opportunities and benefits available for police officers and firefighters.
Job seekers will also be able to apply on-site for positions currently available or submit an interest card to receive notification when a job opportunity becomes available in a particular area.
“We have nearly 2,500 employees here at the City,” said Employment Services Manager Kathleen Walker. “Even so, we are a close-knit workplace where every department feels like family.”
The fair is open to job seekers in every stage of their careers, from those just entering the workforce who are exploring career options to experienced professionals looking for new opportunities in a public sector environment. Teenagers looking for summer employment or who would like to obtain information about career choices also are encouraged to attend.
There are full-time, part-time, and summer job opportunities available. Summer employment includes positions for lifeguards, parks pioneers, and Little Rock Zoo workers.
