(Friday, September 5, 2008) – The City of Little Rock will be conducting a City Hall for a Day in the Mid-City area on Friday, September 19. The boundaries of the area to be covered are I-630 on the north, Woodrow on the east, Fair Park on the west, and Roosevelt and Asher on the south.

Mayor Mark Stodola, Ward Two City Director Ken Richardson, City Manager Bruce T. Moore and city staff will be on hand to present information to citizens and answer questions on city services and programs.

“At Little Rock City Hall, opportunities for the citizens to interact with City officials are a high priority. From Citizen Communications at each City Board meeting to Alert Centers and other City facilities throughout the City, we seek to make it easy for people to share their opinions and get answers,” said City Manager Bruce T. Moore.

“City Hall for a Day is another important way the City has to connect with citizens,” Moore continued. “Though the Mayor, City Directors, and City staff have site visits on a regular basis throughout the City, those are usually with a small group of citizens. This is an opportunity to meet with larger groups of neighbors in their neighborhood.”

At 11:00 am, a neighborhood meeting will be held in the Willie L. Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center Auditorium (3805 West 12th Street). Lunch will be served in conjunction with that meeting.

Another City Hall for a Day is scheduled in October for the areas around 65th Street in the vicinity of University Avenue and Scott Hamilton Drive. Other sessions will be announced in coming weeks.
