Garbage Pick Up Days Remain the Same

(Friday, September 14, 2007) – Additional garbage pick-up routes will commence for Little Rock citizens beginning Monday, September 17. The announcement was made by the City of Little Rock’s Solid Waste unit .

Two additional routes are being added to Monday’s schedule and one extra route is being added each day Tuesday through Friday.

These routes are being added to accommodate the growth in pick-up. “This will reduce the overtime and increase the efficiency of our operations,” said Solid Waste Service Manager Warren Atkins.

Garbage pick up days will remain the same. However, with the additional routes, customers may experience a change in the time that the address has been previously serviced.

Citizens are reminded to have their garbage out by 7:00 am on their garbage collection day to insure that items are picked up.
