On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, Little Rock Police Officers responded to a ‘shooting’ call for service at the Beacon Hill Apartment Complex at 1801 Reservoir Road.  When officers arrived they made contact with a male subject, later identified as Deandre Jones, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.  MEMS was notified, responded, and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Search Unit were notified, responded, and began a preliminary investigation. Detectives spoke with witnesses and canvassed the area for surveillance.  While on scene, Little Rock Communications alerted officers of another shooting victim that was dropped off at Arkansas Children’s Hospital suffering from gunshot wounds. The unknown victim succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.  The Coroner’s Office later responded and transported the bodies to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy and positive identification.  This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Northwest Division.

#Update: On Thursday August 3, 2023, Key'Andre Collins was taken into custody and charged with two (2) counts of Terroristic Act and First Degree Murder. This was a file review with the prosecutors' office. A second victim, Javyn Luckey, succumbed to injuries at a local hospital later that night. Collins is accused of killing Javyn Luckey.
