On Sunday, September 18, 2022, at approximately 11:45 A.M., officers in the Southwest Patrol Division responded to 8800 Baseline Road, Murphy Express, regarding a “Shooting Just Occurred” call for service. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, Ernesto Olmos, 30 years old of Little Rock, AR suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medical personnel was requested and responded to the scene.  Mr. Olmos was transported to UAMS in critical condition but later died as a result of his injuries. Homicide Detectives were requested to respond to conduct their investigation.  Detectives performed a canvass of the area to obtain surveillance footage in the area. 

This investigation is ongoing and the next of kin has been notified.
