Lesson plans from the academy can be easily modified to fit any ancient culture.

Teachers will receive the Ancient Egyptian Educator Guide for the Classroom which includes lesson plans, classroom activities, re-produceables for the classroom, an Ancient Egyptian time line poster and more. Teachers will earn CEU credits for attending this Academy. The Academy also fulfills the ADE requirements for teacher in-service hours.

Cost for the Academy is $60 and includes lunch. Space is limited. The Teacher Academy is open to all educators. Call 501-396-0353 to register.

Presented by the Arkansas Arts Center in cooperation with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, World of the Pharaohs: Treasures of Egypt Revealed explores the long-vanished world of ancient Egypt through art and artifacts that span over 3,000 years of dynastic history. More than 200 magnificent objects, including mummies, a majestic colossus of Ramses the Great, Egyptian art, jewelry, statues, sculptures and funerary artifacts, illustrate the life and art of ancient Egypt.
