The Arkansas Arts Center is now booking Group Tours for the monumental exhibition World of the Pharaohs: Treasures of Egypt Revealed, on view at the Arkansas Arts Center September 25, 2009, to July 5, 2010. Groups of 10 or more are required to make a Group Tour reservation prior to visiting World of the Pharaohs to receive the discounted group rate.

World of the Pharaohs explores the long-vanished world of ancient Egypt through art and artifacts that span over 3,000 years of dynastic history. More than 200 magnificent objects, including mummies, a majestic colossus of Ramses the Great, Egyptian art, jewelry, statues, sculptures and funerary artifacts, illustrate the life and art of ancient Egypt.

World of the Pharaohs is the largest exhibition to ever be held in Arkansas. The Arkansas Arts Center will extend its hours September 25, 2009, to July 5, 2010, to accommodate visitors to the exhibition. The show will be on view Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
