Fifty for the Future, a group of Pulaski County business and professional leaders, has assembled a broad-based steering committee of 37 community leaders from throughout Pulaski County to initiate a first-ever, county-wide strategic plan.

The committee has retained Market Street Services (www.marketstreetservices.com) of Atlanta to assist in the creation of a “consensus community strategy” for Pulaski County. The project – Better Together – Little Rock Metro – will provide the community an opportunity to build on past success, holistically address challenges, and effectively maximize future opportunities. Market Street has performed similar projects for Austin and Nashville with strong success.

As part of the strategy development process, public input is being solicited through an online survey created to allow Market Street to better understand the opportunities and challenges facing Pulaski County. The survey covers areas such as the area's education system, infrastructure, quality of life and economy. It also aims to help identify general strengths/weaknesses of Pulaski County as a place to live, work and visit.

The survey takes about 20 minutes to complete and will be available until 4:00 p.m, Friday, August 15th. Responses are confidential, and data will not be used for any purpose other than to inform the development of the strategy.

To take the survey, or to get more information on the Market Street project, visit www.bettertogether-lr.info. The website may also be accessed at any Central Arkansas Library System location (see below).

The mission of Fifty for the Future is to identify, develop and support regional projects and policies that will have a significant long-term positive impact on the metro Little Rock region.
