Aquatic Center Again Going to the Dogs for Annual Event

WHAT:           The annual Doggie Paddle Day will take place at the Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center on Saturday, Oct. 17. The event, hosted by the Friends of the Animal Village, will benefit the Little Rock Animal Village.     

The event marks the end of outdoor pool season for the Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 14, 2015)  – Residents are invited to bring their dogs out to the fifth annual Doggie Paddle Day at the Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The event, hosted by the Friends of the Animal Village as a fundraiser for the City’s shelter, will feature swim time in the two outdoor pools for the dogs, a jump contest for the most athletic of pups with prizes going to the top three pooches, and other activities for the dogs’ humans, including face-painting and snacks.

Admission to the event is $10 per dog, while the jump competition is a $5 entry fee per dog. In order to enjoy the aquatic festivities, dogs must be spayed or neutered and have their rabies tag present. Owners are advised to only bring dogs that can play well with others. There is a one dog per human adult limit.
