LITTLE ROCK – The City of Little Rock is partnering with the Central Arkansas Re-Entry Coalition and multiple other community organizations to host "Rights After Wrongs" on Saturday, Sept. 16. This annual community event brings together attorneys, social service agencies, civic groups, faith-based institutions and other entities and volunteers to provide re-entry resources and assistance.
Rights After Wrongs is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Little Rock School District's Professional Development Training Center (formerly Henderson Middle School), 401 John Barrow Road.
At the event, Arkansas Driver Control will be present to talk to participants about license suspension reinstatements. In partnership with the Arkansas Division of Workforce Services, participants can meet with prospective employers and receive on-site assistance with job applications and resumes.
In addition, attendees will have access to resources and information related to child support, veterans services, education, housing, leniency court and substance abuse treatment. Health screenings and Covid-19 vaccines will also be provided.
Residents may also meet with representatives from Central Arkansas Legal Services to learn more about sealing criminal records. For record-sealing appointments, residents must call (501) 376-3423 prior to the event to schedule an appointment and learn what materials they need to bring to the event.
This free, "one-stop" day of service event is intended to offer attendees help that could potentially change their lives. For more information, visit the City's website.
