On Tuesday, August 29, 2023, Southwest Patrol Officers responded to the 7100 block of North Chicot Road for a subject down call for service at 10:23 p.m. When they arrived, officers discovered 27-year-old Karonnie LaFavors deceased from gunshot wounds. Officers secured the scene and notified homicide detectives. The Pulaski County Coroner responded and transported the body of Mr. LaFavors to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after homicide detectives and an investigation was underway. Detectives canvassed the area for surveillance and interviewed witnesses. This incident is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.

#Update: Treveon Williams, 20, was arrested and charged with Capital Murder in this incident.
