On November 20, 2023, Southwest Patrol Officers responded to 5924 Baseline Road in reference to a subject being shot. When officers arrived, they discovered a deceased male subject lying on the ground on the northwest side of the building suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner responded and transported the body to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification. The next of kin will be subsequently notified.   

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Northwest Division.
