On Tuesday January 21, 2025, Southwest Patrol Officers responded to a subject down at 8:52 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located 45-year-old Jerrick Holden suffering from multiple gun shot wounds. MEMS and RESCUE responded; however, Holden died at the scene. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and the next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area and spoke with witnesses. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.
