5103 Asher Avenue Homicide)

Southwest Patrol Officers responded to a shooting in progress at 5103 Asher Avenue at 3:27 a.m., on Saturday April 19, 2025. When officers arrived, they located 29-year-old Raydrick Watts and 47-year-old Labrian Phillips in the 3300 block of Mary Street suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MEMS responded to render life-saving medical treatment; still, Watts died at the scene. Phillips, however, was transported to a local hospital. Simultaneously, officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy. The identity of the victim will be released when next of kin is notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. During the investigation, detectives were notified another victim, 42-year-old Prince Kelley had arrived at an area hospital in a private vehicle and stated he sustained the wound during this incident. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.
