Patrol officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a ShotSpotter activation at 2302 South Valentine Street on Friday May 24, 2024. Officers arrived and discovered an individual deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. The scene was secured and Homicide Detectives were notified. The Pulaski County Coroner was also notified and responded to transport the deceased victim to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification. The next of kin will be notified once identification from the crime lab has been established.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area, looked for surveillance video, and spoke with witnesses. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.

The victim in this incident has been identified as 50-year-old Gino Bonner.
