What: 2010 Census: Neighborhood Blitz Event
When: April 10, 2010 – 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Where: Various Locations in Little Rock


The City of Little Rock is encouraging its residents to get counted in the 2010 Census by participating in the nation-wide “March to the Mailbox” campaign. This event will take place Saturday, April 10th in an effort to generate awareness regarding the 2010 Census among individuals who have not returned their form. Residents who have not participated in the 2010 Census will be receiving another form by mail before Census enumerators come by their home starting in May.

Little Rock’s Complete Count Committee will have tables set up at various locations in high-traffic areas around the city and will also be partnering with events already established for that day (See Below). Volunteers from the 2010 Census Complete Count Committee, City of Little Rock employees and students from Philander Smith College will be present to disseminate information.

Currently, the City of Little Rock has achieved a 57% participation rate among residents who have filled out and mailed back questionnaires. To encourage participation, tables with Census information will at the following locations:

Park Plaza Mall
K-Mart – 10901 North Rodney Parham Road
MS Walk – River Market
Southwest Community Center – 6401 Baseline Road
Scimitar Shrine Circus – Barton Coliseum
Kroger – Locations on Highway 10 and Chenal Parkway
