Just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022, Little Rock Police Officers responded to 2 Torey Pines Drive for a shots fired call for service. While en route, Emergency Communications made contact with officers to inform them a female caller advised she had been shot at. When officers arrived, they located a victim, Kenneth Perkins suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. MEMS was notified and responded and transported Mr. Perkins to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries. Officers then made contact with Miracle Brown on scene who told officers she fired shots due to some subjects attempting to rob her with a gun. Ms. Brown was transported to the Major Crimes Division. Officers also made contact with two other subjects who were said to be with Mr. Perkins and transported them to the Major Crimes Division as well. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner responded to the scene and transported the body to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy.
Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit responded to the scene and began a preliminary investigation after canvassing the area and speaking to witnesses. Detectives then responded to the Major Crimes Division and spoke with Ms. Brown who provided a statement after being read her Miranda Rights. Both Daryl Jones and Tamarion Jones also provided statements after being read their Miranda Rights. After further investigation, it was determined that Daryl and Tamarion Jones were responsible for the death of Mr. Kenneth Perkins, and both were charged with Capital Murder and Aggravated Robbery. They were transported to PCRJ.
