On Saturday, May 4, 2024, Patrol Officers with the 12th Street Division responded to a shots fired call at 1901 South Pulaski Street. Upon arrival, officers located 33-year-old Brittany Martin suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. MEMS responded and transported Ms. Martin to a local hospital where she succumbed to her wounds. Officers secured the scene and notified Homicide Detectives. Shortly after, officers were notified a second victim, 31-year-old Dandre King, showed up at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.

#Update: On June 19, 2024, Bralon Reed, 35, of Little Rock, was taken into custody and charged with Capital Murder.
