Just before 3 a.m., on Friday June 16, 2023, 12th Street Patrol Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded to a shots fired call for service at 1501 West 10th Street. Officers arrived and discovered an individual suffering from apparent gun shot wounds. He later succumbed to injuries. Officers secured the area and notified Homicide Detectives. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner responded and transported the deceased victim to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy and positive identification.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. The next of kin was notified. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.

The victim has been identified as 27-year-old Devin Jones of Forrest City, Arkansas.
