On Saturday, August 19, 2023, 12th Street Patrol Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded to a shooting victim at Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Officers arrived and spoke with 18-year-old Tiffany Sherman who was suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite medical aid, Ms. Sherman would later succumbed to her injuries. Homicide Detectives were notified and responded to 1400 Bond, the area they learned was the crime scene. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner responded and transported the deceased victim to the State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified.

The Crime Scene Search Unit responded to the crime scene shortly after Homicide Detectives. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area for witnesses and video surveillance. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.
