Micro Home Village Concept
The Little Rock Micro Home Village will provide temporary shelter to homeless individuals and families. This is one of the Mayor Frank Scott Jr. initiatives of getting too Functional Zero. This innovate strategy of developing more transitional housing and an emergency shelter to house a maximum of 220 individuals on any given night. Thus, providing unsheltered individual & families a shelter. There will be a community center onsite which serves a hub and provides a community space for these individuals and families to access case management, supportive, and wrap around services.
Micro Home Village Goals
- Reduce the number of unsheltered Individuals and families on the street each night in the city of Little Rock.
- Provide transitional housing for unsheltered individuals and families
- Access to an Emergency Shelter (low barrier) for the unsheltered
- Help Micro Home Village residents transition to permanent housing
- Provide case management services to residents at the Micro Home Village
- Provide supportive and wrap around services
- Access to trainings to get employment
- Provide mental heath services.
