The Little Rock Commission on Children, Youth and Families was created by Ordinance No. 18,673 in April 2002, exclusively as an advisory commission, to be appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors, and to provide policy leadership and advocacy that improves the health, safety, education, and quality of life of children, youth and families in Little Rock. It consists of nine (9) members, representing the Little Rock City Board of Directors, the Little Rock School District, juvenile justice, public health, early childhood issues, domestic violence, and substance abuse.
