Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals
Little Rock Revised City Code of Ordinances; Sec. 8-30 reorganized the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals from two (2) prior Boards. Its charge is to hear appeals of decisions and interpretations by a City Building Official, and to consider variances of the technical codes adopted or followed by the City. These codes include building codes, electrical codes, plumbing and mechanical codes for new and existing installations and structures.
Meetings are held on the 2nd Wednesday of each month (as needed) from 3:00 PM — 5:00 PM at the Building Codes Conference Room; 723 West Markham Street.For More Information

| AUTHORITY: | Little Rock Revised City Code of Ordinances; Sec. 8-30 (This ordinance eliminated the Board of Building Code Appeals and the Board of Electrical Code Appeals Boards by Ordinance No. 17,779, passed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors on July 7, 1998) |

| MEMBERS: | Ordinance No. 20,694, passed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors on February 19, 2013, amended Ordinance No. 17,779 and decreased the size of the Commission from seven (7) to five (5) members. |
| DUTIES: | To hear appeals of decisions and interpretations by a City Building Official, and to consider variances of the technical codes adopted or followed by the City. These codes include building codes, electrical codes, plumbing and mechanical codes for new and existing installations and structures. |
| SELECTION: | Members of this Board are appointed by the Little Rock City Board of Directors, and shall consist of members with expertise in dealing with the various City Codes and who possess the following training and experience: A Registered Architect; A Licensed Building Contractor; A Registered Electrical Engineer; A Licensed Mechanical or Plumbing Contractor; A Registered Mechanical Engineer; A Licensed Master Electrical Contractor; or A Registered Structural Engineer |
