Additional Permits and Licenses
The following is not a comprehensive list of additional permits/licenses required for various business types but rather a list of some of the most common.
Alcohol Sales
To sell alcohol both On-Premises and Off-Premises, businesses must obtain permits from the State of Arkansas Alcoholic Beverage Control as well as the City of Little Rock. To obtain a City of Little Rock Permit, please call (501) 371-4570.
Tobacco Sales
To sell tobacco, businesses must obtain permits from the State of Arkansas Tobacco Control Board as well as the City of Little Rock.
Food Service Providers
Almost all businesses preparing and/or cooking food (i.e. not selling pre-packaged food) must have their business inspected by the Arkansas Department of Health and obtain a Food Service Permit. Contractors
In addition to obtaining your Business License with the City of Little Rock, all professional contractors and/or persons working on another's residence are required to obtain a Contractors License from the Arkansas Contractors Licensing Board when the project is $2,000 or more.
