LITTLE ROCK (December 10, 2008) – The Little Rock Zoo launched a new interactive website today at LittleRockZoo.com.

The new website is more user friendly and offer several new features such as a Zoo Keeper’s Blog, online video section, online registration and payment forms for tickets for Zoo events, a more comprehensive special event calendar, as well as more information about several amenities at the Zoo including the Over-the-Jumps Carousel and the Train.

The Little Rock Zoo wanted to build a new website that was more user-friendly than before and that featured more amenities for visitors. LittleRockZoo.com is a popular site for zoo visitors and other potential guests and the Zoo hopes the new website will help promote the Zoo and its amenities.

The Zoo’s new site was developed by SPEAK! Creative, a design firm that developed its own custom Content Management System for website clients called SiteWrench. SPEAK! Creative was chosen to design the Zoo’s new website because the firm has experience designing websites for other zoos such as the Memphis Zoo and because of the features of the SiteWrench Content Management System.

The Little Rock Zoo is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA). Look for the AZA logo whenever you visit a zoo or aquarium as your assurance that you are supporting a facility dedicated to providing excellent care for animals, a great experience for you and a better future for all living things. With its more than 200 accredited members, AZA is a leader in global wildlife conservation and your link to helping animals in their native habitats. For more information, visit www.aza.org.
