City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation staff will be on hand tomorrow, September 24^th, to help a group of young volunteers clean up a park near their school. The sophomore class from Mount St. Mary Academy will walk to Allsop Park in order to trim hedges, clip branches, pick up leaves and other needed improvements.  Parks staff members will provide direction and equipment.

This is a part of national “Mercy Day” and is an annual event. With 154 sophomores, Parks staff members are excited to get this many volunteers in one park at the same time. They expect to be at Allsop between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
