LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Oct. 24, 2014) – The City of Little Rock will host a dedication ceremony to commemorate the installation of a new monument-size sculpture in the Vogel-Schwartz Sculpture Garden. Titled “Through the Looking Glass,” the sculpture stands at 12-feet wide and eight-feet tall. The stainless steel piece by sculptor Mark Leichliter features complex hexagons with a mirror finish. “Through the Looking Glass” was commissioned after winning the $60,000 prize at the 2013 Sculpture at the River Market “A Night in the Garden” competition. Funds for the prize were underwritten by Entergy and Kay Arnold, vice president of Public Affairs for Entergy. The City will also dedicate a new playground in honor of Margaret Clark, a long-time supporter of public art in Little Rock’s downtown.

***VISUALS: Photo opportunities of Parks and Recreation staff installing the sculpture will be available on Monday, Oct. 27 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.***
