The City of Little Rock is hosting an event for local small businesses to engage with the City departments, learn about bid opportunities, and allow businesses to get registered with the City for Procurement Month.

Registration is open for the E.L.A.B (Equity Leadership Access Business) Expo which will be held virtually on Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to noon. Please click here to register.

“The City of Little Rock’s Finance Procurement Division transitioned to an online platform in recent years,” said Chief Financial Officer Sara Lenehan. “The Department recognized a need to increase local awareness of bidding opportunities with an emphasis on increasing the number of women and minority owned business vendors competing for City contracts.”

E.L.A.B. will include virtual workshops and sessions to provide businesses with the necessary tools to access resources to succeed while connecting with other businesses throughout the City. Sessions include:

  • Tips on how to get your invoice(s) processed faster
  • Q&A with a local bank for advice on accessing capital
  • How to complete a minority and women-owned business enterprise certification

The City of Little Rock’s mission is to be a leading City of the 21st century by providing a safe and supportive environment that empowers its citizens, neighborhoods, and businesses to develop and prosper. If there are any questions or concerns, be sure to contact the Small Business Development Office. Please join us and invest in our local small businesses and community’s prosperity.
