The First Draft of the Downtown Little Rock Master Plan is almost ready!
Your input over the last nine months has been instrumental in shaping the Downtown Master Plan, a guiding document that will help inform growth and redevelopment in Downtown for years to come.
You are invited to a Closing Public Meeting on Wednesday, May 8th to celebrate your time and input at this important milestone. There will be a presentation and open house giving an overview of the draft plan, alongside an Alley Party with live music and a food truck.
Wednesday, May 8th
6pm - 7:30pm
Ron Robinson Theater
100 River Market Ave, Little Rock, AR 72201
The Draft Plan will be available online starting on May 8th, and there will be a 30-day comment period where final comments and input will be collected and worked into the plan to ensure that the Final Draft is in alignment with your ideas, aspirations, and concerns. You can learn more at mp.downtownlr.com closer to the event.
Lastly, we encourage you to share information about this final public meeting with your friends, coworkers, and neighbors so we can ensure everyone has an opportunity to contribute to and be a part of the master planning process.
NEW MacArthur Park Historic District Design Guidelines
Little Rock has a rich diversity of historic buildings, structures, and sites representative of the quintessential southern city, with charming and architecturally eclectic assets. The MacArthur Park Historic District embodies these qualities, having irreplaceable resources that define the city’s history and image. To help preserve these assets, the City of Little Rock and the Little Rock Historic District Commission, in partnership with The Lakota Group, has embarked on a comprehensive update to the MacArthur Park Historic District Design Guidelines. This project is funded by the City of Little Rock with assistance from the Historic Preservation Fund, administered by the National Park Service, Department of the Interior and the Arkansas Historic Preservation Program, an agency of the Division of Arkansas Heritage.
A successful Design Guidelines document depends on community input. We invite all residents and stakeholders to actively participate in this initiative. Visit the project website to find more information about the project, stay tuned to updates, and share input: www.macarthurparksdg.com
