Volunteer Park Ranger Program
Volunteer Park Rangers are an elite group of passionate community builders who believe Little Rock’s park system can be safer for all visitors. Rangers represent our Parks and Recreation Department as ambassadors, stewards and protectors by welcoming park visitors and answering their questions, beautifying our green spaces by picking up litter and reporting maintenance issues, and deterring and reporting negative activity. If you want to increase the quality of life in Little Rock via our park system, then be a Volunteer Park Ranger!
The first step is to fill out the on-line application and pass a background check. Once processed, you will be contacted by the Park Ranger to schedule the orientation and training sessions consisting of the flora and fauna in our parks, CPR certification, and Non-conflict Mediation Techniques. Once you graduate, you will receive three hats, three shirts, a pair of shorts, a pair of pants, a belt, a lanyard and a 3-in-1 jacket all at no cost to you!
