History

Birchwood Park occupies 3 acres of level to gently-sloping land adjacent to Rock Creek in the western part of the city. The developers of Birchwood Subdivision donated this site to the City of Little Rock in 1970 for the creation of a neighborhood park. Local U.S. Army Reserve Units volunteered labor in the construction of the park’s recreational facilities.
