On May 14, 2026, Little Rock Police Officer Michael Wilbanks was relieved of duty pending the outcome of an investigation related to an alleged incident in Benton. Wilbanks has since been charged with Aggravated Assault on a Family or Household Member and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor. He has been employed with the department since November 2011.
