On June 4, 2026, just before midnight, officers from the 12th Street Division responded to a reported shooting at 4209 W. 24th Street. They found 23-year-old Jaylen Ewing on the front porch with apparent gunshot wounds, and 34-year-old Antonio Embry and 21-year-old Tamaya Shelton inside the residence with gunshot wounds to their arms. All three were taken to local hospitals; Ewing later died, while Embry and Shelton were treated and released. Officers secured the scene as Homicide Detectives and the Crime Scene Search Unit processed evidence. The Pulaski County Coroner transported Ewing to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy, and next of kin was notified. The investigation remains ongoing and occurred in the 12th Street Division.
