At 3:21am, on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Patrol Officers with the Southwest Division responded to 7903West 36th Street in reference to a death call for service. When officers arrived, they made contact with the 9-1-1 caller who advised that he arrived at the location and observed 43-year-old Michelle Jones’ vehicle missing from the driveway. He then advised he walked into the residence and located Ms. Jones deceased. Officers confirmed the deceased body inside the residence, secured the area, and notified Homicide detectives along with the Crime Scene Search Unit who began an investigation. The Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and next of kin was notified. This ongoing investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Southwest Division.

#Update: On August 27, 2026, Laquarious Jones, 23, was taken into custody and charged with Capital Murder. This investigation is ongoing.
