On July 19, 2026, at 9:27 pm, Northwest Patrol Officers responded to 1010 Breckenridge Drive in reference to a shooting. When officers arrived, they located 55-year-old Otis Shavers inside of his apartment suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Just outside of the apartment, 38-year-old Kendrick Christopher was also located suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Shavers succumbed to injuries on scene, but Christopher was taken to a local hospital. Later, the Pulaski County Coroner transported the deceased body to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy and the next of kin was notified. The scene was secured and Homicide Detectives along with the Crime Scene Search Unit were notified and responded. A preliminary investigation began as detectives canvassed the area, looked for surveillance video, and spoke with witnesses. This investigation is ongoing and occurred in the Northwest Division.

#Update: On July 21, 2026, Robert Fluker, 39, of Little Rock was served with warrants and charged with Capital Murder. This investigation is ongoing.
