LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Jan. 5, 2016) – The public is invited to attend a round of community forums in January aimed at improving the quality of life of Little Rock’s children and families.
The Youth Master Plan Advisory Committee is working to build a set of recommendations that will provide the community programs and services that Little Rock’s children, youth, and families need to thrive. The list of priority needs is currently being developed through conversations with members of the Little Rock community who have an interest in improving the quality of life of Little Rock’s children, youth, and families. The recommendations, once finalized, will be presented to the Little Rock Board of Directors for approval.
Additionally, the Youth Master Plan Advisory Committee has broken into sub-committees, or work groups, which may also be an opportunity to engage with those who are helping develop the goals and tactics for the overall Youth Master Plan. While open to the public, work group meetings are primarily sub-committee meetings of the Youth Master Plan Advisory Committee. They are specifically for the development of goals and tactics related to one of the four areas of the overall Youth Master Plan, namely:
- Children and Youth
- Environment
- Systems
- Partnerships and Resources
The first round of meetings will include community forums for those in Law Enforcement fields, City/County/State Organizations, and the Hispanic/Latino community.
