History

Ninth Street Park occupies 3.0 acres of level land adjacent to Interstate 630 in the central part of the city. The park was initially developed in 1977 on land purchased from the Little Rock Housing Authority. Park development was interrupted in 1979 with the construction of the adjacent Wilbur Mills Freeway.
