Benny Craig Park

Benny Craig Park serves as a welcoming neighborhood green space in the southwestern part of Little Rock. With 22 acres of playfields and shaded areas along Fourche Creek, the park provides opportunities for both active recreation and relaxed community gatherings.

History

Development of the park began in 1968 on low-lying land near one of the main branches of Fourche Creek. At its opening, the site was called Gum Springs Park. To honor the legacy of long-time local sportscaster Benny Craig, the park was later renamed in his memory.

Since then, Benny Craig Park has grown into a much-loved neighborhood destination, balancing its natural creekside setting with recreational amenities for residents of all ages.Craig.
